Privacy policy
Duo Complice uses only the information needed to operate the game, purchases and the play modes you choose to use.
Application name
Perfect Duo is the English-facing name of Duo Complice. Duo Complice remains the technical and legal identity of the application.
When you visit this website
The website saves your language preference in your browser’s local storage. You can clear it in your browser settings. The presentation pages do not include analytics tools, advertising or embedded social-media content.
Publisher and data controller
Duo Complice is published by Thierry Sueur, an individual publishing the app in his own name. Thierry Sueur is the controller of the personal data used by Duo Complice. Ludogame is the name used for the presentation website.
Local profile
No account is required. To play, each player enters a display name. A real first name is not required: a nickname or any other text is fine. This name distinguishes the players and appears with their results. It is stored on this device and sent to the server only during a two-phone game. Gender is optional and follows the same rule.
Players and history
Duo details, avatars and history are stored locally and are not synced between devices. Uninstalling may erase them unless a backup restores them.
Illustrated avatars
Creating an illustrated avatar is optional: you can use the app without providing a photo. If you choose this feature, the selected photo is sent to the Duo Complice server and then to OpenAI’s image-generation service to create the avatar. The Duo Complice server does not keep the original photo after processing; the generated avatar is downloaded and stored on your device. OpenAI applies its own retention rules. You can replace or remove the avatar at any time. If the photo shows someone else, make sure you have their permission before sending it.
Two-phone mode
When you use connected play, the information required to synchronise the game and submitted answers temporarily passes through the game server so both phones can play together.
Purchases
The App Store processes the one-time purchase. The server verifies Apple transactions and links access to an anonymous installation identifier. Restore purchases recovers the purchase with the same Apple account, without a Duo Complice account.
Your choices and rights
In Profile, you can edit your nickname and gender or remove your partner or avatars. Contact the publisher about technical data retained by the service.
Security
No Duo Complice password is requested. A random identifier is stored securely for online services. Nicknames and genders stay local, except during two-phone games.
Retention periods
Your duo profile, avatars and history remain on this device until deleted or until the app data is removed. They are not synced across devices. Technical data needed to verify and restore purchases is kept on the server while the purchased content is provided. Apple has its own retention rules. The source photo for an avatar is deleted after processing; the generated avatar is downloaded to your phone and its server copy is deleted once the transfer is complete.
